Penciled lettering on back left of "Bowl of Zinnias"

The title of the painting and the price were probably added to the back of the painting at the time it was to be sent to the Saturday Gallery Exhibition in Saint Louis. The price was evidently raised by the gallery, as "Bowl of Zinnias" is listed at $75.00 in the program notes.
