The label from the frame in which Clementine Hunter's First Oil
Painting, "Bowl of Zinnias", was exhibited at the Saturday
Gallery in Saint Louis, Missouri in 1952
The wood of the original frame
deteriorated to the point that the frame became unstable and
posed a danger to the painting. It was replaced in 1985 by a
frame similar in appearance and size.
